What We Do
A full consultation with you and your team will give us all-important insight into your existing system and products, including those that are working well, the size and scope of the buildings they support, your current efficiency levels and what you would like to achieve.
After carrying out a survey of your buildings we'll discuss applications, product and system options that will best meet your needs, factoring in issues such as sustainability and BREEAM In-Use building performance. We'll then prepare a written proposal, including detailed costings, and if you'd like to go ahead, a comprehensive project plan.
With a focus on robust products and systems that are scalable and future-proofed as far as possible, our talented designers work hard to ensure designs that not only meet the agreed technical brief but also make an aesthetic fit with the building. The team also pays close attention to how everything will be brought to life, for example by making sure of a fit with new-build construction design or allowing for installation that won't hamper business operations.
Once a design has been approved we manufacture control panels, select system components and compile software programmes ready for the installation phase.
We construct control panels in house, with all of them undergoing formal internal inspection and testing. The software programmes that we construct utilise specialist software from renowned brands such as Siemens and Priva, and we carry out rigorous tests to confirm functionality and compliance.
Our highly qualified specialist teams carry out full installation from start to finish. Drawing on their top-level expertise, experience and appreciation of the particular project requirements, they keep communication clear and open so that you remain fully informed and ensure that performance criteria and timescales are achieved.
The team is led by an experienced project manager who acts as a single point of contact and is responsible for every aspect of the project - from keeping schedules running smoothly and liaising closely with you to ensure minimal disruption to procuring equipment and allocating resources.
Effective operation of building control systems is highly dependent on accurate commissioning so it's crucial that it's done absolutely right. As well as ensuring that all systems are operating correctly and to their full capability, commissioning also identifies any deficiency in the plant and systems that are being monitored and controlled.
Our specialist engineers commission control systems and document the results in strict accordance with the best practice standards of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers' (CIBSE) Commissioning Code C: Automatic controls.
On completion, they carry out formal witnessing and handover.
We make sure that you and your team knows how the system works, what its capabilities are and what its potential limits are to help you achieve the best possible return on your investment.
As part of the handover process, we provide thorough training for all nominated personnel and can provide further training to meet your needs, such as:
- After upgrades to your system
- Following system modifications and extensions
- For new staff
- To raise awareness and embed good practice
As with any building asset, systems and controls need to be maintained proactively and reactively to ensure that they continue to perform perfectly, unnecessary repairs are prevented and problems are taken care of quickly.
