Sales & Proposals Estimator – Building Management Systems

The Role: Formulation of quotations and tenders related to all products, services and technologies the organisation is involved with. Ensure that tenders and quotations meet the company and the customer's requirements whilst maintaining commercial terms and conditions.

The Location: Office based in Dursley with travel sometimes required for site inspection purposes as well as to submit completed tenders.

The Package: Excellent salary based on candidate’s skills and experience + Performance Bonus Scheme

The main duties the successful applicant will be required to perform are:

Responsibl efor tender documents and quotations within the organisation.

Ensure that all technical requirements are taken into account.

Review customer specifications to ensure compliance and that all technical requirements are taken into account.

Gather and compile all returnable documentation and attachments required as part of the overall tender submission.

Prepare enquiries and secure quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Produce estimates and perform cost calculations to ensure accurate pricing.

Preform electrical and mechanical calculations as required.

Liaise with customers on a daily basis to formulate the best possible solution to meet customer requirements.

Ensure all Technical Literature included as part of the tender documents is the most relevant and up to date information.

Negotiate orders.

Maintain client contact records and customer data utilising specialised software.

Regular follow up with clients as to the success of proposals submitted and compile monthly reports indicating the status of all proposals in progress.

 

The ideal candidate should possess:

A recognised electrical/electronic qualification would be advantageous.

A current valid skill card.

Preferably experience in Siemens, Priva or similar Building Management.

Working knowledge of IT systems and networks.

Computer literacy - good knowledge of MS Office. (Word, Excel, Outlook,)

Excellent problem solving skills and capable of working to deadlines.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Current clean valid driving license.
